Galactic Entertainment Publishing, the latest venture under the Galactic Group umbrella, marks its entry into the market.
PlanetQuest, the maiden project of Galactic Entertainment, has been in development since 2022. Loren Roosendaal, CEO of Galactic Entertainment and the brain behind PlanetQuest, informed CoinNerd that despite the game’s pending launch, it has amassed a significant user base.
PlanetQuest passport holders account for over 300,000 connected wallets, over 200,000 of which hold one or more PlanetQuest NFTs.
AAA Franchise Experience
The PlanetQuest team consists of ex-employees from Disney, Warner Bros., Activision-Blizzard, and Epic, boasting credits in numerous franchises. These range from blockbuster films like The Batman, Avengers, and Blade Runner to top-tier games such as Fortnite, Call of Duty, and Star Wars: Jedi Survivor.
Jon McCoy, the firm’s chief creative officer, known for his involvement in AAA Hollywood blockbusters, expressed that his tenure with Galactic Group surpasses his previous experiences.
Naturally no first attempt at something new is perfect, but it’s been amazing getting to create a sci-fi universe with the fans in a way that’s never been attempted before. I’ve gotten to fulfill a lot of my childhood dreams, working on Star Wars, Blade Runner and Marvel movies to name a few, but there’s little that compares to being able to interact and build with the fans from day one.
VoyageBeyond
The debut game from the company, VoyageBeyond, is likened to a universe akin to “Star Wars,” offering players a plethora of assets they can possess and exchange. From spacecraft to entire planets, these digital assets can be acquired by players for personal gameplay or traded for in-game currency.
Galactic is presently strategizing to introduce supplementary media for VoyageBeyond, encompassing novels, comic books, and another game yet to be disclosed, as per a report from VentureBeat.
