Manta Pacific Adopts Celestia Data Availability, Targets Lower Costs On Layer 2 Network
Manta Pacific, a Layer 2 network, has implemented Celestia’s modular data availability solution to lower transaction costs.
Manta Pacific, a Layer 2 blockchain, plans to integrate Celestia’s modular data availability solution, aiming to slash user transaction fees.
Manta intends to utilize Celestia’s data availability sampling, allowing light nodes to verify data availability without downloading the entirety of data within a block.
“We’re leveling up Manta Pacific by taking it to Celestia to benefit our users with a more cost-effective and secure network environment,” says Kenny Li, co-founder and core contributor at Manta Network.
Several rollup initiatives are embracing Celestia. Polygon Labs’ chain development kit, a toolkit for Layer 2 chains, integrates Celestia’s DA solution to reduce costs within its ecosystem. Similarly, Arbitrum announced integration for its Orbit stack.
Manta Pacific achieved a total value locked of $18 million within two months of its mainnet launch in September. p0x labs, its developer, secured a $25 million investment round in July led by Polychain Capital.
